1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing tradejourney.io ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Service Description & Hybrid Model

tradejourney.io provides a data-centric trading journal platform utilizing a hybrid storage model:

  • Local Storage: Immediate data entry and performance charts are handled locally via IndexedDB.
  • Cloud Sync: When logged in, data is synchronized to Supabase for backup and multi-device access.
  • AI Layer: "Mirror" analysis, the "AI Coach", and "AI Note Review" provide feedback based on your data.

3. Financial Advice Disclaimer

NO FINANCIAL ADVICE

tradejourney.io is strictly a data documentation and analysis tool. It DOES NOT provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any insights, patterns, or feedback generated by the AI Coach, Mirror Audit, or AI Note Review are automated outputs based on your historical data and simple statistical models. They should be used solely for educational purposes and self-reflection.

Trading carries significant financial risk. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and that tradejourney.io is not liable for any losses incurred.

4. AI Usage & API Responsibilities

Our AI features operate by proxying data to the Google Gemini API using an API key you provide. By using these features, you agree:

  • To be solely responsible for any usage costs billed by Google Cloud Platform for your API key.
  • That AI responses are probabilistic and may contain "hallucinations" (factually incorrect information). You should never rely on them for trade execution.
  • That while we transmit your key securely via TLS, you are responsible for the security of the key on your local device.
  • That we do not store your API key permanently; it is transiently used to sign requests.

5. User Accounts & Data Ownership

You represent that you are at least 18 years of age. You own all data you import into the Service. By using our cloud sync, you grant us a license to host and process this data on your behalf.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, tradejourney.io shall not be liable for any financial losses, capital erosion, or damages resulting from the use of the Service, its AI analysis, or its data tracking features. Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

7. Termination & Account Deletion

You may delete your account and associated cloud data at any time via the Settings panel. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operators are based, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
