Extension Privacy Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

The tradejourney.io Chrome Extension is a bridge between your trading platform (TradingView) and your journal. It is designed with a Privacy-First philosophy: zero data is automatically uploaded to our servers.

2. Zero-Cloud Extraction

The Extension reads data directly from your browser's active tab when you initiate an extraction. This data includes:

• Order History: Execution levels, quantities, and timestamps.
• Account Metrics: Realized P&L and balance changes.

Crucially, this data never leaves your local machine during the extraction process.

3. Data Transfer & Storage

Data handling is split into two layers:

• Extension History: The extension saves your most recent scrapes (up to 20) locally on your device for your convenience. This is not synced to any cloud service.
• Manual Sync: Data is only transmitted to tradejourney.io servers if you manually paste the extracted JSON into our web application. From that point on, it is governed by our main Website Privacy Policy.

4. Permissions & Transparency

To function, we require minimal, specific permissions:

• scripting: To read the data tables on TradingView.
• storage: To keep your local scrape history.
• host_permissions: Limited strictly to tradingview.com domains.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, or trade any data extracted by the Extension with third parties. We do not use trackers, pixels, or advertising scripts within the extension package.
